Grade 5 - Bike Ed.
Who: All Grade 5 Students
When: Late term 4
Times: 9:00am - 3:30pm
The Grade 5 students will progress through several practical sessions continuing to learn how to ride their bikes safely and independently. Some of the sessions will take place on the school grounds and some will be on the quiet roads around school under direct teacher supervision.
Bike checks & safety:
In order to participate, each child will need a bicycle and helmet, both in rideable and safe condition. In order to assess whether your child’s bike is “Bike Ed ready" please ensure the following:

- The brakes are working well
- The tyres are pumped up
- The seat is an appropriate height (in line with their hip when they are standing next to the bike)
- The seat is stable i.e. not spinning or tilting
- Your child’s Bike and Bike Helmet are clearly labelled with their name.
